Inkwell
Inkwell is the first scheduling platform built exclusively for tattoo artists — with structured client intake, automatic deposit collection, and a no-show-reducing reminder system, all in one place.
Clients submit style preference, body placement, size, skin tone, budget range, and reference images before you ever offer a time slot — so every inquiry arrives with the information you actually need.
Review incoming requests in a clean queue, approve or decline on your terms, and add a personal note — your books stay in your control, not whoever clicks fastest.
The moment you approve a request, Inkwell charges a non-refundable deposit via Stripe and sends the client a calendar invite — no more chasing Venmo payments or holding slots on a handshake.
Set separate scheduling windows for flash work versus custom sessions, so walk-in-style flash slots never bleed into your booked custom days.
Every client's past pieces, style notes, and healed photos live in one lightweight CRM so repeat bookings take seconds instead of digging through old DM threads.
Clients receive timed email reminders leading up to their appointment, keeping your chair full without you sending a single follow-up message.
How it works
Clients land on your Inkwell page and fill out a detailed intake form — style, placement, references, and all — before a time slot is ever offered.
You see every submission in your dashboard, approve the fits, decline the rest, and Inkwell automatically collects the deposit and locks in the calendar invite.
Automated reminders handle the follow-up, your client history is ready at a glance, and you walk into every session with zero admin overhead.

Inkwell is pre-launch and actively being built. We're onboarding a small group of pilot artists first. Join the waitlist to get early access and influence what we build.
No. Inkwell charges a flat monthly subscription. Deposit payments are processed at Stripe's standard rate (typically 2.9% + 30¢) with no additional markup from us.
Generic tools like Calendly or Square Appointments have no concept of style filtering, reference images, or approval-before-booking. Inkwell replaces the five-tool stack — intake form, deposit chasing, calendar, reminders, and client notes — with one purpose-built workflow.
We're building deposit documentation features — timestamped intake submissions, approval records, and clear terms presented at checkout — to give you a strong paper trail for any chargeback dispute. This is a priority before our public launch.
Both. The Solo plan covers independent artists managing their own books. The Studio plan adds a shared client database, team calendar, and per-artist deposit tracking for studios with up to six artists.
